Segments & Automation

Segments let you save recipient filters so you can quickly message the right group of people.

  1. Go to Communication > Segments
  2. Click Create Segment
  3. Define your filters:

  1. Save the segment with a name for reuse

When composing a message, select a saved segment as the recipient list. The segment dynamically includes members who match the criteria at the time of sending.

Build automated multi-step email workflows:

  • Welcome Sequence: Day 1: Welcome email, Day 3: Church info, Day 7: Invite to small group
  • Visitor Follow-Up: Day 1: Thank you for visiting, Day 5: Upcoming events, Day 14: Invitation to connect
  • Re-Engagement: Week 1: We miss you, Week 3: Upcoming events, Week 6: Personal outreach
  1. Go to Communication > Sequences
  2. Click Create Sequence
  3. Add steps with delay intervals
  4. Write the content for each step
  5. Activate the sequence

Set up messages that send automatically based on member data:

Toggle on in Settings > Notifications. Members automatically receive a birthday greeting on their birthday.

Send messages on membership anniversaries. Toggle on in Settings > Notifications.

Available on Growth plan and above. Configure triggers and actions for more complex workflows in Communication > Automation.

Respect member preferences:

  • Members can unsubscribe from any channel (email, SMS, WhatsApp)
  • Opt-out preferences are enforced across all communications
  • View and manage opt-outs in Communication > Opt-Outs
